Overview

Clarity ("the app") is a daily focus and reflection app built by an independent developer. This policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and your rights as a user.

Data We Collect

Clarity collects only the data you enter directly into the app:

• Your first name (optional, used for personalization)
• Your daily priorities and whether they were completed
• Your evening review responses (what got done, what derailed you, your intention for tomorrow)
• Your self-reported energy level
• Your chosen app theme and notification preferences

All of this data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. It is never transmitted to external servers, sold to third parties, or used for advertising.

AI Features

Clarity uses the Anthropic Claude API to generate personalized insights and weekly summaries. When you request an AI-generated insight or summary, a summary of your recent entries (without personally identifying information) is sent to Anthropic's API for processing. This data is used solely to generate your response and is not stored or used to train AI models. Anthropic's privacy policy can be found at anthropic.com/privacy.

Notifications

If you enable notifications, Clarity schedules local reminders on your device. No notification data is transmitted externally.

Analytics

Clarity does not use any third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking frameworks. No data is shared with advertisers or data brokers.

Children's Privacy

Clarity is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
